This Privacy Policy explains how Bookify, Inc. (“Bookify”, “we”, “us”) collects, uses, and safeguards your information when you use our expense and financial-management service. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act (NDPA) 2023 and applicable regulations.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, password, and workspace information you provide at sign-up.
• Financial data — when you connect a bank or fintech account, our open-banking partner (Mono) shares account balances, transactions, and account metadata so we can aggregate them into your ledger.
• Usage data — device, browser, and interaction data we use to keep the service secure and reliable.

How we use your information

• To provide the service: aggregating accounts, categorising transactions, and generating reports.
• To classify spending as business or personal on your behalf.
• To secure your account, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations.
• To communicate service updates and respond to support requests.

Bank connections

Bookify connects to your accounts through Mono, a licensed open-banking provider. We never see or store your online-banking login credentials — those are handled by Mono’s secure connection flow. You can disconnect any linked account at any time from your dashboard, which revokes our ongoing access.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with service providers who help us operate Bookify(such as hosting and open-banking partners), and only to the extent needed to deliver the service or as required by law.

Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete a workspace, the associated financial records, transactions, and bank connections are removed. Some records may be retained where the law requires it.
